Polygon Art

Polygon art is where you take a shape and repeat it in different variounts. Then you fill the shapes with solid colors that allows you to make a picture. This is the first style I connected with, because not only do I love art, but I also love math. By using Polygon Art, I was able to see how geometric shapes can make art. By doing so, it allowed me to do two things I love at the same time

Fiddle Faddle

I wanted to take what is considered an alturnatitve for curse words (or colorful language) and put a twist on it! When I heard someone say Fiddle Faddle, the only image that came to mind was a duck hitting water off of its flippers.

Punxsutawney Phil

Punxsutawney Phil is also part of the colorful language idea. Punxsutawney Phil is the name of the  groundhog that is the central figure for Groundhog Day. I wanted to make Punxsutawney Phil in the pose he is best known for!

Son of a Bench

When exploring colorful language, this was one of the most obvious and repetitive ones I heard. Knowing this and what it replaces, I wanted to make this one more child friendly. I did this by putting the plastic chair I remember the most from my childhood and putting it beside a bench. Then I decided to plaque both the bench and the chair labeling them "A Bench" and "Son of a Bench"

Polygon Chicken

This was the first piece I experimented Polygon art with. The piece allowed me to see what textures and subjects looked like through the style. Even though the subject is simple, it opened a whole style to explore and fall in love with
